You’ve seen the successful results of my triathlon challenge. You’ve felt my pain in my Bikram Yoga challenge. I’m still looking for that next challenge. I’m going to continue testing out different sports/exercises/gyms/clubs/etc and I’ll let you know what it’s like… to see if it’s worth your time or not. So, in a way, we’re discovering it together. It’s been 6 days since my last article, but I haven’t been slacking. On the contrary, I’ve been living a very busy life… and it’s been a great time. Here are some highlights:
M7 Lifestyle Guinea Pig Jeff S. met me at Bikram Yoga Boston this week for a jump start into his M7 Lifestyle transformation. Here’s a glimpse at what he’ll be enduring, you can follow along and report your results:
- Regular Bikram Yoga to start. It’ll wake up and ignite his dormant body from the inside out. Plus, it’s a room full of decent looking ladies… a HUGE motivational tool.
- Strength training. He’ll start doing my basic foundation circuit training workout. I did one this morning… it’s a great program to work most/all of your major muscle groups when you don’t have an hour to spend in the gym. Today was: 5 sets of Bench Press, Pull Ups, Squats, Decline Bench Twist Ups. No rest between exercises, 60 seconds of rest between sets. Keep it simple, stupid. There are no shortcuts… so leave your ugly Sketchers Rocking Chair shoes at home… they’re ugly and you look ridiculous. Everyone that wears those things has a giant gut and eats whoopie pies… fact.
- Cardio: Run and Bike. It’s not rocket science. Get your fat ass on a bike/treadmill and start pounding out miles.
- FOOD. We’ll go over what he eats and when. Get a nice plan so he can make his work day food at home and pack it up. Brown bagging it to work is awesome… being a fat pig sucking on a Biggie Soda and Biggie Fries is not cool.
Wish Jeff luck… he’s a lawyer, a dad, and a pretty damn good guy that wants to be the best version of himself possible. He’ll get there. You should try it, too. Email me if you need help, M7Athletics.com.
Karmaloop.com model, college soccer player, and fellow Reebok model, Leonardo Slim (facebook page here) hit the gym with me on Wednesday morning. I gave him a scoop of that Supercharge by Labrada pre-workout drink I told you about recently (it makes you feel like an animal during your workout and puts hair on your balls). I love the stuff, but he might have taken a little too much. He crushed his fingernail with a dumbbell (had to go to the E.R. to have it drained later in the day) and I found him passed out on the ground by the drinking fountain. When I found him, I did what any good friend would do… I took pictures of him (see pictures). Note to readers: It’s always good to drink water and eat a little something before a morning workout, especially when you’re trying out a new, high powered supplement. And don’t tuck your sweatpants into your socks… unless you’re really cool. Get a free sample of Supercharge here.
Earlier this week I met up with MyKitchenAffair.com author E.A. Horton. We met up because she’s an M7 reader and she’s a pretty talented writer, so why not say hello, right?! She’s hot, and smart, what’s not to like? But, I’m a professional, so I was a perfect gentleman, kinda. I write about fitness and being healthy… she writes about baking and making tasty treats. Check her out here, MyKitchenAffair.com. Best quote from my time with her has been, “I’ve got a good story about cat balls!” She does things outside the box… you should, too.
To celebrate Friday at my day job in my shared office/pit, I played Joy and Pain by Rob Base and DJ Ez Rock on full blast. My IT girl said, “If only a bus would come by and run you over.” Winners never hate and Haters never win, people. Play it for the people in your office, it’ll make you feel good and it’ll reveal the uptight.
Keep emailing me your questions and comments. I’m living a pretty sweet life, all things considered. You should be, too. Email me for a kick in the ass.
Be Great,
M7
p.s. TRAINING MUSIC TIP: Just like your gym/exercise routine, you gotta keep it fresh… put these two songs on your playlist.
Stop N Go, Paper Route Gangstaz
Black and Yellow, Wiz Khalifa
